How to Connect Your WordPress Blog
Connecting your WordPress blog to our platform enables you to seamlessly create, schedule, and post blogs directly to your WordPress site. This integration simplifies your content management, allowing you to handle all your blogging activities from a single interface. Additionally, this functionality allows you to pull in our contact forms and embed them on your website using shortcodes, enhancing your site's interactivity and lead capture capabilities. The benefit of this functionality is that the short-code is style free and will by default, inherit your website styles without causing any conflicts.
In this guide, you will learn how to connect your WordPress blog and utilise these features to streamline your blogging process and enhance your website's functionality.
Getting Started with Connecting your Wordpress Blog:
To get started, navigate to “Settings,” and select “Social Settings”, and “Blog”.
The first step is to click on the “Download Plugin” button on the blog card. This will download a ZIP file that should then be imported into your Wordpress Website.
Navigate to your website, and click on “Plugins”, “Add New Plugin” and then click on the “Upload Plugin” option
From here, upload the complete ZIP file that you downloaded. This will initiate the installation of our Blog Plugin.
Once the installation is complete, you will see a new sidebar option on your site called “Blog Web Form.” This allows you to manage the plugin settings.
The next step is to insert your Auth Token into your WordPress site:
- Navigate back to the platform and go to “Blog Settings.”
- Click on “Authentication Details” to obtain your authentication token.
- Copy the token and paste it into the corresponding field on your WordPress site, then click “Save.”
Additionally, copy the base URL from your WordPress website and paste it into the Zymplify platform’s WordPress settings.
// Note if you want to use the Web Form back of this plugin, click on the “Sync” button, and it will retrieve the web forms from the Zymplify platform, and display them below.
Once all the above steps are completed you will be able to navigate through to the Blog feature, and start scheduling your blog posts.
