How to Setup your Website Tracking
Setting up Website Tracking is essential for gaining real-time insights into who is visiting your website and understanding their journey through your site. This functionality allows you to monitor visitor behaviour, track which pages they visit, and analyse how they interact with your content.
By leveraging this data, you can enhance your marketing strategies, improve user experience, and engage with potential leads more effectively.
In this guide, you will learn how to set up and utilise Website Tracking to observe visitor activity and optimise your website performance.
Getting Started with Managing your Website Settings:
To get started, navigate to “Settings,” and select “Website Settings”.
To activate Website Tracking, paste the provided code onto your website just before the closing </head> tag. If needed, you can also use the “Email to your web admin” option to send the code to your website support team.
Managing Multiple Websites
You also have the capability to manage multiple websites within the platform. This feature provides a unique tracking code for each additional website you add, allowing for comprehensive monitoring across all your domains.
Here are the benefits of adding multiple websites:
- You can set up multiple vanity URLs and assign them to the relevant websites, making it easier to manage marketing campaigns for different brands. This allows you to control the brand URL used for each campaign.
- You can view a detailed breakdown of web visits for each site, giving you valuable insights into visitor behaviour across your entire web presence.
To add a new website, click the “Manage Websites” button in the top right corner. A pop-up will appear, allowing you to review your existing websites and add new ones. Click the “Add New Website” button, then provide a name and enter the website domain.
Once the new website is added, it will appear in a dropdown menu. Use this dropdown to switch between websites and obtain the tracking code for the selected site.
