How to Manage Your Messages
Messages are a powerful tool that empowers teams to collaborate seamlessly and efficiently within the platform, allowing you to exchange ideas, share files, and discuss project details effortlessly. This guide will walk you through managing the Messages feature, enabling better team communication and organisation.
Getting Started with Managing Your Messages
To begin managing your messages, navigate to the “Messages” feature from your main dashboard. Here, you will find two default message channels set up to provide you with platform communications and updates.
Creating a New Channel
To create a new message channel, click on the “Create Chat” button.
Start by naming your message channel. This name will be visible to all users assigned to the chat, helping to identify the purpose of the channel.
Next, select the users you want to add to the message channel. Once you've added the necessary members, your message channel will be ready for use.
Using Advanced Messaging Features
The Messages feature offers more than just basic text communication. It includes advanced functionalities such as @mentions, emojis, and attachments. These tools help organise discussions, making it easier to highlight important information and keep conversations focused.
Creating Team Chats via Workbenches
You can also create team chats directly from your workbenches. This allows for categorised chats with team members based on specific topics, and you can add these chats as widgets on your workbench. This integration ensures that discussions are relevant to the tasks and data you are viewing, promoting a more streamlined workflow.
By using the Messages tool, you can enhance communication within your team, ensuring that important messages are acted upon promptly and efficiently.
